The EcoBlue engines come in 1-litre and 3-litre sizes, and the name EcoBlue comes from the name of Ford’s petrol engine EcoBoost. The “blue” refers to the water-based fluid that converts nitroxide oxygen in the exhaust gas into nitrogen and water.

What are the Benefits of Ford EcoBlue?

You now know what Ford EcoBlue is; how does it benefit you? When Ford announced the EcoBlue range, they highlighted that it would provide 13% better fuel efficiency compared to the previous diesel models. There is also 20% more pulling power as well as a 10% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.

So, to put it plainly, the Ford EcoBlue is more fuel efficient, cleaner and has more power than the previous diesel versions.

What Ford Models Use the EcoBlue Engine?

Ford has many different vans and pickups which fit the EcoBlue engines for various models. Just like other manufacturers, they have started to focus more towards hybrid and electric models, but there are still plenty of vehicles out there.
